I’ve never knowingly had this problem but, I’m sure it’s out there. And I’ve questioned a couple of themes I’ve seen. You’ve just got to be careful in anything you do. Does your theme report user data back to the theme author? Does it throw ads up on their screen? Install malware or some ad tool bar? So you install a free theme, it uses a commercial photo slider that the author didn’t have permission to distribute, that makes YOU a pirate too, right?
